FOR PEOPLE LOOKING TO WORK IN ENTERTAINMENT: You’ll notice that most positions say that you need “agency experience.” What they mean is they want you to work at one of the big agencies (CAA, ICM, WME, etc.), starting off in the mailroom, working your way to an assistant, for little pay and many hours. Why? This article actually explains it very well. I have spoken to many people in entertainment, and almost all of them recommend starting off in an agency.
